Care guide

Your Made by Madre piece is handmade with delicate materials and should be worn and stored with care to ensure it lasts for a lifetime and beyond.

We use natural pearls, shells, crystals and gems which are delicate in nature, so protect your pieces by storing each one individually in a dry place away from extreme heat and moisture to avoid breakage or scratches. 

We know it's trés chic to complete your beach outfit with a Made by Madre piece but please avoid salty/chlorinated water and any harsh chemicals to minimise damage or wear.

Remove your pieces prior to bathing, swimming or exercising too and avoid direct contact with lotions, hairspray and perfume.

If exposed to anything that isn’t pH neutral, rinse with fresh water. 

Gold filled jewellery can tarnish over time so protect your gold and extend its lustre by cleaning each piece with a soft dry cloth regularly.
